Why We LOVE Our Volunteers!!

As President of, it was with much gratitude and great pleasure that I received the following email from one of our fantastic volunteers in Quebec.
Gaston is so humble in his accomplishment! Congratulations, Gaston!!
I am happy to tell you that all the pictures I took from the St-Jean-sur-Richelieu Cemetery are done. That is more then 3000 headstones and over 13000 names. There are headstones missing because some of my pictures were bad, some had vegetation in front of names or dates and some were just unable to see some of the info. I would think that about 3/4 of that site is done.
I was surprised to receive a message from a women who found her parents headstone on the site telling me that she was happy because she couldn’t go to the cemetery and seeing the picture she feels closer to them. That message show me that our work make a difference for others.
To have more headstones to offer to public and searchers, I will this year attack the St-Luc and the St-James cemetery in St-Jean-sur –Richelieu area. There are 2 smalls cemetery and I will have enough to pass next winter.
I am proud to be volunteer for the site , because we can offer free informations and pictures.  I would like to thank all volunteers for all their time they give on that project. A special thanks to Michel [the coordinator for Quebec] who make the corrections on all my headstones.
